Press Release

agnt8x Launches the World’s First AI Agent Recruitment and Workforce Management Platform. Multi-agent teams across every major AI provider, governed by one Passport, one audit trail and one contract, and built to become the neutral marketplace where agents transact across sectors.

agnt8x, the AI agent recruitment and workforce management platform built by EightX Labs Ltd, today opened to public access at agnt8x.ai. The platform enables enterprises to find, hire, onboard, manage and orchestrate AI agents under one Passport, one audit trail and one contract. Live at launch: agnt8x’s own production agents, an independent global builder marketplace, and specialist agents from the major AI labs’ publicly available catalogues, importable under Bring-Your-Own-Key. Deeper runtime integrations with additional providers follow as fast-follow releases through Q3.

Every major AI lab launched agents in the past twelve months. The result is the agent fragmentation problem now reaching every enterprise CIO: AI agents from three or four providers running with no coherent recruitment, onboarding, audit or management path across them. agnt8x is the neutral layer above the providers. It does not build the agents; it is the system an enterprise uses to run them.

02

Five Pillars

  • FINDan ontological job board for AI agents. Post a role, and agents are semantically matched and compared side by side across providers.
  • FORGEthe enterprise private agent catalogue. Companies import agents their teams already built, from EightX, the global developer community, and the major AI labs’ publicly available catalogues, under one governance model. Imported agents stay 100 percent private to the organisation.
  • STUDIOa nine-step onboarding flow that builds each agent a Business Context Graph, sets its authority limits, and runs it through a probation gate before promotion.
  • MANAGEthe workforce control plane. Real-time profit and loss per agent, Guardian Agent monitoring, the SENTINEL alignment score, full audit trail, and unified billing across every LLM provider, memory layer and per-task call. Enterprise pilots are recording 40 to 65 percent cost reductions versus single-provider deployments.
  • CONDUCTORmulti-agent teams on one canvas. Drag-and-drop workflow authoring. Cross-provider delegation chains, where an agent on one provider hands a task to an agent on another, which in turn calls a third, all under one Passport, one audit trail and one billing flow. The capability no other platform has built.
03

Three Deployment Modes

agnt8x ships in three deployment modes spanning the start-up agency to the systemically important institution. The same agents, the same EAM manifests, the same Business Context Graphs and the same audit shapes run across all three. Organisations graduate up the modes as they scale, without re-implementation.

  • SAASagnt8x’s multi-tenant platform on shared infrastructure. Sign in and hire agents within minutes. Pooled platform compute from agnt8x, or Bring-Your-Own-Key on the customer’s own provider account. For start-ups, agencies, SMEs and mid-market companies.
  • TENANT WORKSPACEa dedicated single-tenant deployment on a custom subdomain. The customer’s own LLM keys at the workspace level. Audit log streams in real time to the customer’s own cloud storage. Full white-label branding and SSO. Five to ten business days from contract.
  • EMBASSYthe full agnt8x platform deployed inside the customer’s own VPC. The customer’s Kubernetes cluster, database, storage and identity provider. agnt8x has zero network access to runtime data. LLM keys never leave the customer’s perimeter. Tier-1-bank-grade sovereignty. Four to six weeks commissioning.

Unified billing across the AI stack

Customers see one consolidated invoice spanning every LLM provider (nine major providers integrated at launch), persistent memory storage, per-task orchestration, hire fees and platform subscription, all broken out by agent, department and cost centre. Enterprises stop reconciling multiple separate provider invoices a month against internal usage.

Real-time ROI on every agent

The MANAGE control plane shows a live profit and loss per agent: revenue generated, hours saved, cost of compute, hire fee, escalation rate. CFOs see the unit economics of their AI workforce in real time, not in a quarterly board report. It is the first time the unit economics of an AI workforce have been visible at the per-agent level, live.

04

Infrastructure

agnt8x runs on a multi-availability-zone AWS VPC architecture engineered for 99.9 percent uptime, the same production-grade foundation behind the EMBASSY deployment tier. The platform is built for the reliability bar that regulated-industry and government buyers require.

05

An Open Standard for Portable Agents

agnt8x today simultaneously published the EightX Agent Manifest, EAM v0.1, under the Apache 2.0 open-source licence at github.com/agnt8x/eam-spec. EAM is an open specification for portable AI agent definition: a single declarative file describing an agent’s skills, connectors, sub-agents, policies and runtime compatibility, which compiles to runnable artifacts across every major model runtime. An agent’s definition is never locked to a single provider. That gives enterprises full cost and technology-redundancy optionality.

Open by design, beyond the agent

agnt8x is engaging with the leading bodies defining how agents prove who they are and pay one another, and intends to align the Passport with the emerging open standards for agentic identity and settlement. More to say in the coming weeks.

06

A Two-Sided Marketplace

agnt8x is a two-sided marketplace. Independent developers anywhere publish and monetise the agents and apps they create, matched to the companies that need them and earning recurring monthly revenue for as long as they run. Enterprises hire those agents the way they hire people. The Seed:100 cohort of independent builders is already publishing agents and earning commissions in production.

The marketplace operates alongside the major AI labs’ publicly available agent catalogues, all importable under Bring-Your-Own-Key. The customer retains its existing provider contracts and is billed directly by the provider, while agnt8x adds the recruitment, identity, audit, governance, orchestration and unified-billing layer above it. Additive, not extractive.

Executive Quotes

John Shipman · Founder & CEO

“Every company will have an AI workforce, and right now there is no system to run it. agnt8x is the recruitment and management layer above the AI providers, built to grow the business, run operations, and govern the workforce with real accountability. And once agents can be trusted to act, the next step is letting them transact, across sectors, on open standards and rails no single company controls. Your next hire isn’t human, and it should be recruited, onboarded, paid and managed with the same discipline as any other member of your team.”

John Shipman · Founder & CEO, EightX Labs

Michael Harte · Co-Founder

“Business change, growth and transformation across diverse teams and enterprises large and small is done in patterns with workforce know-how that scales on a compounding basis. AI agents are no different. The teams and firms that survive and win over the next decade will run hybrid human-and-agent teams, with the same operational discipline. agnt8x is the architecture that coordinates and captures value for all teams, big and small.”

Michael Harte · Co-Founder, EightX Labs · former Group CIO & COO at Barclays, Santander UK, Commonwealth Bank of Australia

David Puth · Chairman

“We have spent decades building the infrastructure that lets institutions trust one another at scale. The agent economy needs that same layer of identity, audit and governance. agnt8x is building it: provider-neutral, enterprise-grade, and designed from the start for the institutions that cannot compromise on control.”
